"My first new car was a 64 monza coupe, 110 4spd and Rita followed suite with a 64 500 coupe 95hp 3 spd. Been tinkering with them ever since. The first time I drove a Corvair, was to run for parts for a friend in the car repair business. I was hooked at that point. As close as we can determine, I, alone, have parted out over 150 corvairs of all types over the years. Not sure how many I have put together and sold, but most were yellow, and most were 64 of some sort. I think it was December 1973 or 74 that I was officially a member. My original certificate is not dated. It is signed by Bob Waters and Ed Zinteck."

The Corvairs were all gathered in a relatively cool building - out of the hot sun.
